The front page contents and layout are currently mostly static. You can remove and add news channels by editing a config file, but it isn't possible to change the order or resize the channels. Not to mention that config file editing isn't the most user-friendly way of doing things (at least not for that) and that only the webmaster can modify to the file.

When channels start to proliferate (for example, when we get a channel for suggested features, other one for top rated features and a third for recent changes on the wiki), the front page can end up being too overwhelmed. It would be useful to choose what actually is shown on the fron page and move some elements to secondary pages. As of version 0.5, selecting the reporters shown on the first page is an all-or-nothing decision: either do they appear on the front page or anywhere at all.
